Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 376 “On additional measures for repair and updating of elevator equipment of multi-apartment buildings of the republic in 2021–2027” was adopted on 12 June 2020.
The document approved the program for the repair and upgrade of elevator equipment of apartment buildings of the republic in 2021–2027.
The Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities is charged with:
monitor the timely implementation of the program;
introduce a modern service system for elevator equipment of apartment buildings;
to provide measures to create safe and comfortable living conditions for homeowners and to prevent emergency situations;
to develop and implement a modern electronic program for registering technical and emergency provisions of elevator equipment in real time.
Until 1 November 2020, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent, together with the Ministry of Finance, was instructed to ensure the allocation of funds for the development of the corresponding design and estimate documentation. And starting in 2021, it is planned to allocate funds from the republican budget, local budgets of the regions and the city of Tashkent for the repair and updating of elevator equipment according to the program.
The Inspectorate for Monitoring the Operation of the Multi-Unit Housing Facility under the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services will monitor compliance with the General Technical Regulations for the Safety of Elevators.
The State Committee for Industrial Safety will oversee the installation of elevators that meet international standards and have passed state examination, and will also carry out state registration of new elevators.
In total, in 2021–2027, 84 elevators are planned to be repaired in 2 102 apartment buildings, and 3,478 elevators will be replaced with new ones.
