Istomin books place in quarterfinals of St. Petersburg Open

In the second round of the tournament Denis Istomin defeated Andrei Golubev of Kazakhstan in three sets – 4:6, 6:3, 6:4.

The match lasted two hours and 11 minutes. Denis Istomin served one ace and committed two double faults, as well as won two serves of his opponents. Golubev recorded six aces, two double points and one break-point.

In the quarterfinals, Uzbek ace will face either Russia’s Mikhail Yuzhniy or Spain’s Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
