İstanbul Başakşehir Draws 2:2 with Rizespor; Shomurodov Opens the Scoring

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the 20th round of the Turkish Süper Lig, İstanbul Başakşehir played a 2:2 draw against Rizespor.

Uzbek national team players Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullaev started for the home side, with Fayzullaev substituted in the 63rd minute.

Eldor Shomurodov opened the scoring in the 18th minute, marking his 14th goal of the current Turkish Süper Lig season. In stoppage time of the first half, Taha Şahin equalized for Rizespor, and in the 68th minute, Valentin Mihaila put Rizespor ahead. The final score was set by Bertuğ Yıldırım, who scored İstanbul Başakşehir’s second goal to restore parity.

After 20 rounds, İstanbul Başakşehir has 30 points and sits in sixth place in the Turkish league standings.
