Issues related to the deed of 101 Uzbek soldiers during the Second World War were discussed in Belgium

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries, Dilyor Hakimov, discussed with the Ambassador of Russia to the Netherlands, Alexander Shulgin, the issues of continuing interaction to widely inform the European public about the heroism shown by the soldiers of Uzbekistan in the Second World War. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, Alexander Shulgin praised the measures taken in our country to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the past war, which, in his opinion, is especially noticeable in the last two or three years.

At the meeting, the Russian side was presented the novel "101" by Anvar Irgashev and Yulia Medvedovskaya and an agreement was reached on organizing a joint presentation of it. As part of the event, a demonstration of various historical materials devoted to the exploit of Uzbek soldiers is also planned. Along with this, interest is expressed in the joint celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory and in attracting diplomatic missions of the CIS countries, as well as the Dutch government.

More details about the novel “101”, the tragic fate and heroism of 101 Uzbek warriors, which are described in the book, research works on identifying fighters, can be found on September 7 in the evening or September 8 during the special issue of the Uzbek National Broadcasting Company of Uzbekistan character "Uzbekona Uzlik "on the channel" Madaniyat va ma'rifat ".
