Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 May 2020, a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “Main factors of the socio-demographic development of the family in Uzbekistan” was held online.

A videoconference held in connection with the International Day of the Family was organized under the motto “Family is the highest value”. It was attended by members of the Senate, as well as more than 100 scientists and specialists of state, non-governmental organizations and universities.

The deputy chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports, Dilorom Tashmuhamedova, made a presentation on the prospects of the socio-demographic development of the family. So, it was noted that in order for the family to be strong, it is necessary to pay special attention to the issues of a comprehensive analysis of family problems, strengthening support for families in need of assistance, preserving national, spiritual and moral traditions in family relations.

In addition, they talked about the attention paid by the state to the economic well-being of families, the state of psychological problems observed in interpersonal relationships in the family, domestic violence, problems and solutions, and the role of the family in the socialization of youth.

Based on the results of the video conference, conclusions were drawn on the issues of socio-demographic indicators, the concept of the demographic development of the family and the study of the social status of families.
