Garayev, as well as the heads of railways and relevant departments and organizations of the two countries organized an online meeting in the form of a video conference.

The deputy chairman of the agency “Turkmenavtotransport” J. Currently, 6 disinfection tunnels are installed for trains and trucks crossing the border of Turkmenistan through the border points of Turkmenbashi, Serkhetyak, Garabogaz, Farap, Imamnazar and Serkhetabat.

“By the end of this month, we plan to commission disinfection and fumigation facilities at the Sarakhs border checkpoint in cooperation with the Iranian side and open road and rail links through this border checkpoint,” Garayev said.

The Uzbek side noted that the speedy restoration of transport links between Iran and Turkmenistan by rail and road is in the interests of all parties.
