Islam Karimov: there are no winners in Ukrainian conflict

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Conflict in Ukraine should be solved only via negotiations, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov stated at the meeting with the President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Swiss Confederation, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Didier Burkhalter on 21 November 2014.

Uzbek leader recalled that during NATO summit in Bucharest in 2018 he stated that conflict in Afghanistan cannot be solved with force. He added that life showed that he was right.

Islam Karimov said that there are no winners or losers in conflict in Ukraine. That’s why conflict in Ukraine should be solved only via negotiations, he said.
