Islam Karimov receives vice-president of Boeing
Greeting the guest, Islam Karimov noted that Boeing is Uzbekistan’s reliable and long-term partner in terms of supply, operation and service of modern passenger aircraft.

The guest assured of the willingness of the company he heads to continue with the mutually advantageous and fruitful cooperation with Uzbek partners.
Currently, Uzbekistan Airways national air company operates fifteen Boeing airliners. These state-of-the-art planes provide for more than half of the national air company’s shipping that includes ultra-long-range routes to the United States and Japan. Two Boeing 787-800 Dreamliners are due to be supplied in 2016.
Joint efforts have been underway in training and raising the proficiency of the flight personnel of Uzbekistan Airways. Projects are run to outfit the national air carrier’s training center with trainer equipment and to set up a regional center for repairing major composite elements of aircraft construction structure at the Uzbekistan Airways Technics enterprise in Tashkent.
