Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 August 2020, at the center of the national movement Yuksalish, a round table was held on the topic “Is the revocation of the license of private clinics a solution to the problem?”, which was organized by the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on science, education and health care.

The event was attended by members of the Senate, senior officials of the Ministry of Health, representatives of private medical institutions and members of the media.

As you know, the order of the Minister of Health "On ordering the criteria for treatment and conducting a retro-prospective analysis of patients with coronavirus infection" was recently published, which envisages the adoption of tough measures against private medical institutions, in particular on bringing claims to the courts to revoke the licenses of private medical clinics for their treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, which caused a wide discussion on social networks.

It is no secret that in the difficult epidemiological situation that arose in the country in recent months, private clinics also provided medical services to patients.

At the round table, members of the Senate stressed that in the difficult epidemiological situation that has arisen in the country as a result of the pandemic, responsible officials should equally consider all parts of the health care system and focus all attention on improving the situation. The importance of inviting the private sector, as well as other structures, to government projects, involving them in the development of the health care system, was noted.

The necessary proposals and recommendations were made on this issue.
