Ipoteka Bank emits 730,000 banking payment cards

As of 1 June 2011, the bank issued 670,000 banking payment cards within so-called salary projects, UzA reported. Among the clients of the bank are Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine, Uzmetkombinat, Gissarneftegaz, and others.

The report said that the transactions with POS-terminals made up 497 billion soums as of 1 June 2011, which is 14 times more year-on-year.

According to Central Bank of Uzbekistan, commercial banks of Uzbekistan emitted 8 million banking payment cards and installed over 86,000 POS-terminals.
