On 9 December, INVIVO held a scientific conference on introduction of cochlear implantation. The symposium was attended by both domestic otolaryngologists and surgeons, and leading experts from Australia and Russia who not only shared their experience and discussed new technologies in the field of otolaryngology, but also carried out operations in real time, which was broadcast for conference participants from the surgery room. Foreign specialists installed cochlear implant to the child at the age of 2.5 years.

Cochlear implantation is performed with deep sensorineural hearing loss or deafness and helps restore hearing.

Director of the clinic INVIVO Zebo Karimova noted that now the inhabitants of Uzbekistan have the opportunity to use cochlear implants of Cochlear at affordable prices, which is several times cheaper than in other countries of the world.

The surgeries were conducted with the participation of the head of the Department of Prevention and Correction of Hearing Impairment of the Russian Scientific and Clinical Center for Audiology and Hearing Prophylaxis, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nelya Mileshina and Head of the Cochlear Implant Center of the Russian Scientific Clinical Center for Audiology and Hearing, Vigen Bakshinyan.

Specialists from Russia conducted six surgeries on cochlear implantation and one surgery to install a bone conduction hearing aid (BHA implant) on a charitable basis.
