Investments of US$1.4 Billion Attracted to the Construction Materials Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to August 2025, Uzbekistan’s construction industry produced building materials worth 34.6 trillion soums, while exports of these products reached US$675.4 million.

During this period, the sector attracted US$1.485 billion in investments, and under the localization program, production worth 3.0 trillion soums was implemented, according to the Association “UzSanoatKurilishMateriallari.”

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 31, 2025, No. 53 “On Measures for the Implementation of the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025,” the Association planned to attract direct foreign investments and loans amounting to 195.7 million dollars across 20 projects as part of the investment program.

According to operational data, from January to August of this year, 150.2 million dollars of foreign investments and loans were utilized (the planned target was 138.5 million dollars, achieving 108.4% of the plan).

For reference, in January–September 2025, the projects assigned to the Association within the State Investment Program were expected to attract 143.3 million dollars, with the total by the end of September projected at 150.2 million dollars, representing 104.8% of the planned target.

An example of investment project implementation: LLC JV “Prime Ceramics” is expanding its ceramic tile production with a total investment of 12.5 million dollars, of which 6.5 million dollars is planned to be utilized in 2025. Asaka Bank JSC provided a loan of 6.0 million dollars for the project’s implementation.
