Interparliamentary Groups of Uzbekistan and Slovakia Discuss Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 December 2025, members of the interparliamentary groups for cooperation “Uzbekistan–Slovakia” and “Slovakia–Uzbekistan” held a meeting in an online format.

During the dialogue, participants discussed ways to further strengthen friendly ties between the two countries, expand interparliamentary cooperation, and deepen collaboration in the legislative sphere.

Concrete proposals were developed, including enhancing interaction between the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the National Council of Slovakia on legislative activities, providing legal support for political, legal, and socio-economic reforms, improving the regulatory framework in various areas of public administration and economic development, as well as exchanging experience and organizing official visits.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to hold such meetings on a regular basis, thereby formalizing a format for constructive interparliamentary dialogue.
