Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The International Forum on Multimodal Transport took place in Tashkent, serving as a key platform for discussing the development prospects of transport and logistics infrastructure across Eurasia.

The event brought together leaders from government bodies, international organizations, carrier associations, and logistics companies from Turkic countries and partner states, highlighting the region’s growing role in global trade and transit.

During the forum, participants emphasized the need to accelerate integration processes, expand transport corridors, and establish a unified logistics ecosystem based on principles of openness, trust, and mutual benefit.

The program featured four panel sessions addressing current issues in the transport and logistics sector.

The first session focused on prospects for creating joint operators and infrastructure, industrial-logistics centers and hubs, and integrating maritime, rail, and road routes within the framework of the Middle Corridor.

The second session discussed the development of port and land infrastructure, modern trends in maritime transport, and the transformation of global logistics chains. Participants stressed the importance of investment cooperation, modernization of terminal capacities, and the adoption of advanced technologies to optimize cargo flows.

Special attention was given to the digitalization of the transport sector, including the implementation of electronic document management, integration of digital platforms, automation of procedures, and simplification of customs operations.

Representatives from ministries of transport, customs services, railway companies, IT firms, and international organizations took part in the discussions.

The forum demonstrated the region’s commitment to establishing a new level of transport cooperation aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Eurasian routes, developing multimodal solutions, and ensuring the resilience of trade and transit chains.
