International bus route between Bishkek and Tashkent launched
Regular buses will begin to run from 7 May 2018 from the bus station "Tashkent". Buses along the Bishkek-Tashkent route will run from the Bishkek East Bus Station.
The agreement on opening the route was reached at a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Joint Commission on International Road Transport on 22 January in Tashkent.
MIRONSHOX GRAND TRANS LLC will operate the route on behalf of Uzbekistan, and TRANS SOYUZ-ASIA – Kyrgyz side.
MIRONSHOX GRAND TRANS LLC concluded an agreement with OJSC "TRANS Soyuz-Asia" on mutual cooperation in maintenance of buses (technical inspection of buses, medical examination of drivers, security and cleaning of buses) in the territory of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
To service this route from the Uzbek side, the carrier of MIRONSHOX GRAND TRANS LLC will operate buses of PHOTON brand (China), and TRANS SOYUZ-ASIA will use YUTONG (China) buses.
The length of the route is 601 km, the journey time is 12 hours 40 minutes. The schedules include 30 minutes of time for customs and border control at Gisht Kuprik (Uzbekistan) and Zhibek Zholy (Kazakhstan), Supatay Batyr (Kazakhstan) and Chaldovar (Kyrgyzstan) border posts.
The cost of transportation by the route by carriers is 120,00 soums and 1000 Kyrgyz soms respectively.
