Interior Ministry says Janis Galanos deported from Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizen of Greece Janis Galanos received certificate to return to his home country on 24 December and he was deported from Uzbekistan on the same day, the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The statement said that Janis Galanos, 31, was in Uzbekistan with overdue passport and permissions. He received a certificate to return to Greece from the Embassy of Italy in Tashkent on 24 December 2013.

On the same day, Janis Galanos was deported from Uzbekistan with the flight Tashkent-Istanbul-Athens in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 408 from 21 November 1996 and requirements of the article225 of Administrative Code of Uzbekistan.
