Interior Ministry: Installation of car video recorders is not allowed

Gazeta.uz reported quoting newspaper “Na Postu” that it is prohibited to make video record of the traffic police officer, who stopped the driver for law violation.

Representative of the Main department of traffic security said that it is banned to install navigator, rearview camera with showing image in special display, or car video recorder to the cars in Uzbekistan.

The report said that the traffic police officers can fine the drivers of the cars with car video recorder as the recorders have displays.

According to Administrative code of Uzbekistan, it is banned to install monitors/displays to vehicles. The size of fine is equal to two size of minimal salary, set in Uzbekistan.
