Insurers of Uzbekistan collects premiums for 927.45 billion soums in 2017

At the same time, the volume of premiums for voluntary insurance totaled 694.1 billion soums in the reporting period (+ 43%) and mandatory insurance - 233.34 billion soums (+ 12%).

Insurance payments of companies in January-December 2017 increased by 107% - up to 269.9 billion soums. Voluntary insurance payments exceeded 202.41 billion soums (+ 139%) and mandatory insurance - 67.58 billion soums (+ 48%).

The total authorized capital of insurance companies in Uzbekistan as of the end of 2017 made up 321.63 billion soums, which is 30% lower compared to the same period in 2016.

The volume of investment of insurance companies grew by 71% in January-December 2017 and reached 1.482 trillion soums.

About 669.72 billion soums were directed to deposits (+ 72%) and 643.88 billion soums - to securities (+ 79%). The companies invested 98.04 billion soums (+ 978%) in real estate and 60.31 billion soums in the authorized capitals of companies. The volume of loans amounted to 9.64 billion soums (+ 36%) and other investments - 963 million soums (-37%).
