Insurers of Uzbekistan collect premiums for 436 billion soums in 1H

At the same time, the volume of premiums for voluntary insurance totaled 312.46 billion soums in the reporting period (+ 30%) and compulsory insurance - 123.51 billion soums (+ 14%).

Insurance payments of companies in January-June of 2017 increased by 103% - up to 139.13 billion soums. Voluntary insurance payments exceeded 106.68 billion soums (+ 146%) and compulsory insurance - 32.45 billion soums (+ 29%) in the first half of 2017.

The total authorized capital of insurance companies in Uzbekistan was 516.5 billion soums in the first half of 2017, which is 19% higher than in the same period in 2016.

The volume of investment of insurance companies grew by 28% in January-June 2017 and amounted to 1.032 trillion soums.

About 456.26 billion soums were directed to deposits (+ 20%) and 406.6 billion soums - to securities (+ 25%). The companies invested 98.22 billion soums (+ 153%) in real estate and 59.54 billion soums in the authorized capitals of companies (+ 26%). The volume of loans reached 7.07 billion soums (-16%) and other investments - 4.14 billion soums (-18%).
