Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 July, citizen B. B. made a statement to the Department of Internal Affairs of Samarkand region, in which he asked to take legal measures against a man named "F", who introduced himself as a teacher of the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine. This citizen promised to arrange B. B. through familiar officials to help to enroll to the faculty of a technical specialist of this university, but asked for US$5,000 for his services.

According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Samarkand Region, on this statement, on 2 July, employees of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Samarkand Region, together with employees of the State Security Service Directorate for Samarkand Region, held an operational event in Samarkand region.

In the course of it, at the time of receiving from the author a statement of monetary funds in the amount of US$5,000, citizen Kh.J. was detained with physical evidence.

On this fact, the Investigative Department at the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Samarkand region is conducting a pre-investigation check.
