Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A traditional week of innovative ideas - InnoWeek-2019 is waiting for you on 29-31 October at the Uzexpocenter National Exhibition Complex. The event promises to be a unique platform for local and foreign research and innovation centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators.

Within the framework of the Week, the Innovation and Investment Forum, the Exhibition of Innovative Products, the International Robotics Championship - IRC, the presentation of the Asia-Pacific Center for Technology Transfer, the presentation of the badge "Leader of Innovative Ideas" and the series of training seminars "Future Foresight" will be held.

Exhibition of Innovative Products

The main goal of the exhibition is to demonstrate new domestic and foreign technologies, increase the living standards of the population and attract new investment opportunities that are beneficial to the country’s economy through the exchange of the latest technologies.

The exhibition will feature the most innovative products, innovative projects, prototypes or models for business in all areas, both domestic and foreign. The event will bring together foreign innovation and research centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators.

Innovation and Investment Forum

Foreign research and innovation centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators will take an active part in the forum.

The event will bring together representatives of more than 30 countries, reputable international organizations and companies, leading experts in the field of science and innovation from Austria, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, Russia, Turkey, Estonia, Iran, Kazakhstan and the USA. One of the main goals of the Week is the development of human capital as a key factor in the country’s competitiveness and innovative development in the international arena, as stated in the Presidential Decree “On approval of the Innovative Development Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2021”.

International Robotics Championship - IRC

IRC-2019 will be held from 28 to 31 October at the Uzexpocentre Exhibition Center in two age categories: 9–16 (Junior) and 17–23 (Senior) years. Each age category consists of different competitions.

The competition in the Junior category is organized by the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Youth Union. In the Kegelring and Robo-sumo contest, all applicants will come with self-driving robots to participate.

The category "Senior" was organized by the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) (COMSTECH) under the name "1st OIC Robotics Challenge Uzbekistan". The competition will be attended by young people from the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The championship is an open event. Come with your children of any age from 09.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.00 on October 29, 30 and 31 of the current year.

ESCAP

The Asia-Pacific Technology Transfer Center of the United Nations Asian Pacific Economic and Social Economic and Social Commission on 30-31 October 2019, as part of the Innovation Ideas Week, InnoWeek.Uz will present to the public the activities of the Asia-Pacific Technology Transfer Center at the Regional Seminar on Innovation, Technology Transfer and the role of intellectual property. Recall, the director of the Scientific and Practical Center for the Implementation of Innovation Developments under the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shakhobiddin Sharifov was appointed the official representative of the Asia-Pacific Center for Technology Transfer (APCTT) in Uzbekistan.

Presentation of the badge "Leader of innovative ideas"

Within the framework of InnoWeek-2019, the awarding of the BEST SIGN "LEADER OF INNOVATIVE IDEAS" will take place. Established in the “Year of Supporting Active Entrepreneurship, Innovative Ideas and Technologies”, the badge “Leader of Innovative Ideas” is awarded to young scientists, students and initiative citizens, incl. non-residents, for their contribution to the development of innovative ideas and technologies and their implementation in practice.

Future foresignt

Future Foresight training seminars will be held at the Presidential Academy of Public Administration under the auspices of the Ministry of Innovative Development and the Ministry of Cabinet and Future Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. A series of seminars will be held on 28 October - 1 November 2019.

This training seminar is aimed at acquiring new knowledge and skills of civil servants from international experts, which, in turn, helps to increase work efficiency, improve the quality of public services, and forecasting the future.
