Innovation Ministry, BUYUK KELAJAK discuss cooperation areas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 May 2018, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with representatives of the Expert Council “BUYUK KELAJAK” (Great Future).

The sides discussed issues of expanding cooperation between the Ministry and Council to form a long-term development model of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2035, as well as the strategy of innovative development of the republic.

Representatives of the Expert Council shared their experience and ideas on formation of a long-term Strategy. In particular, the prospects of forming a long-term development model of the Republic of Uzbekistan up to 2035 were discussed, with an emphasis on raising living standards, improving the quality of human capital, developing a market for long-term investments and reforming the institutions of state power.

Sherzod Shermatov told about the work done, on the formation of the strategy of innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the participants of the meeting were acquainted with the conceptual approach to development of the draft of this document.

The deputy minister also said that the "Global Innovation Index" was chosen as the mechanism for monitoring implementation of the strategy, which is one of the most effective internationally recognized tools for assessing innovation activity, which allows obtaining reliable data on the work done on an annual basis.

As a result, the meeting participants agreed that active cooperation between the Ministry of Innovative Development and the expert council "BUYUK KELAJAK" will bring significant results in the process of implementing the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
