Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 29 October, the Week of Innovation Ideas, InnoWeek.Uz-2019, began its work.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Presidential Adviser on Science, Education, Health and Sports Abdujabbor Abduvakhitov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Innovation Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov and the head of the Asia-Pacific Technology Transfer Center (APCTT) Michiko Enomoto.

Abdukhakimov: As the respected President of our country Shavkat Miromonovich emphasizes today, the issue of fierce competition is increasingly acute. In such circumstances, we must constantly work on the widespread introduction of the achievements of modern science and innovation. ” Today’s event will create a platform for mutually beneficial cooperation for representatives of various fields operating at the international level in the field of innovation, as well as representatives of government bodies, subjects of innovation infrastructure, free economic and small industrial zones, technology parks and private entrepreneurs, as well as foreign investment funds, innovation centers and other interested organizations. ”

In 2018, the number of scientists, businessmen, representatives of large companies, who attended events in the framework of the International Week of Innovative Ideas from all points of our republic and more than 20 foreign countries, amounted to 5278 people.

It is expected that representatives of more than 30 foreign countries and more than 6000 participants from our republic will take part in the innovation week starting today.

The exhibition is attended by 17 foreign and 29 local enterprises and organizations.

The international innovation and investment forum, which takes place as part of this week of innovation, is attended by more than 35 foreign and more than 20 domestic speakers.
