Information-resource center opens in Senate
The center was created in cooperation with the project of the European Union “Further Strengthening of the Bi-Cameral Parliamentary System and Communications between the Parliament and the Regional Assemblies in Uzbekistan”.
Members and employees of Senate, managers of the EU project, specialists and others participated in the event.
Deputy Chairperson of Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Mavjuda Radjabova said it was important to open the center, which will help to improve activities of the parliament and strengthen interaction of the Senate with regional assemblies in Uzbekistan.
It was underlined that the center is a result of cooperation and close partnership in developing and strengthening of bi-cameral parliamentary system in Uzbekistan.
The participants were briefed about functional and technical opportunities of new center, which is equipped with information-communication technologies. The participants also familiarized with functions and tasks of the center and video communication system.
The center will help to improve skills of members of Senate and their work. It was noted that the Senate introduced e-document turnover, electronic archive and library, new search system, etc.
