Informal Sector Accounts for 25.5% of Uzbekistan’s Construction Output in January–November 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Statistics Committee, between January and November 2025, the value of construction work carried out by the informal sector in Uzbekistan reached 69.9 trillion soums, exceeding the same period in 2024 by 6.9%.

The informal sector’s share in total construction output amounted to 25.5%.

Analysis of the past five years shows a steady increase in activity within this segment: from 18.5 trillion soums in 2021, the volume of informal construction rose to 20.9 trillion soums in 2022, 25.1 trillion soums in 2023, and 61.2 trillion soums in 2024, reaching a record high of 69.9 trillion soums in 2025.
