Inflation grows by 7.3% in 2010 in Uzbekistan

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan held the session on 21 January 2011 to discuss social-economic development in 2010 and important priorities of economic programme in 2011.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said that the inflation rate made up 7.3% in 2010 against 7.4% in 2009 at the stable high rates of economic growth and real growth of population income by 23.5% in 2010.

He said that this is, first of all, result of firm and weighted monetary-credit policy and adopted anti-crisis measures.

Uzbek leader Islam Karimov added that the inflation rate in Uzbekistan will make up 7-9% in 2011.
