Industrial Production in Uzbekistan Grew by 6.7% in January–October 2025

Industrial Production in Uzbekistan Grew by 6.7% in January–October 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to October 2025, enterprises in Uzbekistan produced industrial goods worth 865.8 trillion soums, which is 6.7% higher than the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

As of November 1, 2025, there were 58,600 industrial enterprises operating in the country. The largest number of enterprises were concentrated in food production — 11,700 (20%), other non-metallic mineral products — 8,200 (14%), clothing — 5,800 (10%), fabricated metal products — 4,700 (8.1%), furniture — 4,000 (6.9%), textiles — 3,600 (6.2%), and rubber and plastic products — 2,800 (4.7%).

In terms of industrial output per capita, regions with figures above the national average of 22.9 million soums included Navoiy region (140.8 million soums), Tashkent city (53.4 million soums), Tashkent region (42.3 million soums), and Andijan region (24 million soums). Industrial production per capita grew by 4.7% nationwide, with Jizzakh region showing 12.1%, and both Navoiy and Khorezm regions recording 6.7%, significantly exceeding the national average.

By sector, manufacturing accounted for the largest share at 741.5 trillion soums (85.6%). Mining and quarrying contributed 63.3 trillion soums (7.3%), electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply — 56.1 trillion soums (6.5%), and water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and disposal — 4.9 trillion soums (0.6%).

During January–October 2025, Uzbekistan produced 35.5 billion m³ of natural gas, 547.3 thousand tons of crude oil, 6.5 million tons of coal, 974.7 thousand tons of motor gasoline, 978.1 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 17.3 million tons of Portland cement, 482.8 thousand tons of yarn, and 1,009.6 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelt.

Within manufacturing, food, beverages, and tobacco accounted for 19.3%, textiles, clothing, and leather products — 15.5%, fabricated metal products, machinery, equipment, vehicles, and other transport equipment — 18.6%, and chemicals, rubber, and plastics — 7.1%. The high-tech sector represented 1.1% of production, medium-high technology — 19.8%, medium-low — 39.7%, and low-tech — 39.4%.

Compared to January–October 2024, electricity production increased by 3.8%, while heat production by large enterprises reached 88.9% of last year’s level. Additionally, textile waste increased by 33.6%, wastewater collection, transportation, and treatment services grew by 14.2%, and services for emptying, cleaning, and processing cesspools, tanks, and septic systems rose by 0.9%.
