Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 October 2019, an industrial flow of natural gas was received at the Yormok field with a preliminary flow rate of 250,000-300,000 cubic meters a day. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
As part of the implementation of geological and technical measures carried out in accordance with the “State Program for the Development and Reproduction of the Mineral Resources Base in 2017-2021” approved in 2017 by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kashkadarya oil and gas region at the Yormok field, industrial inflows from a 3-exploration well were received .
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2019, Uzbekneftegas JSC has been systematically continuing exploration in five oil and gas regions and as a result of the work, 5 new fields have been discovered, exploration work is continuing at previously discovered fields to ensure an increase in the explored reserves of hydrocarbons.
The Yormok deposit is located on the territory of Guzar district of Kashkadarya region. Search well No. 3 here began drilling in March of this year to study the oil and gas potential of Jurassic carbonate deposits and was drilled to a depth of 3300 meters. In the process of testing the well in the range of 3133-3065m, an industrial influx of natural gas was obtained with a preliminary flow rate of 250-300 thousand cubic meters per day.
In the next 3 days, gas condensate studies will be carried out at the well to study the parameters of the promising formation, and it is also planned to continue exploration work at the Yormok field by drilling regular exploration wells.
