Industrial Flow of Natural Gas Achieved from New Well at Muynak Field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A significant geological milestone has been reached at the Ustyurt field in Muynak district: an exploratory well, No. 3, has produced an industrial flow of natural gas, Uzbekneftegaz reports.

Drilling operations at the well began on 8 September 2025, conducted by Uzneftegaz Drilling Works. The well was drilled to a depth of 4,940 meters within the Lower Jurassic layers.

Over the next three days, specialists will study the natural properties of the productive reservoir, determining the daily output of the well, reservoir pressure, and other key parameters.

Drilling and testing of two additional wells at the Muynak field are ongoing, with results expected in the coming days.
