Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 July, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi held talks in the form of a video conference with the general director of the pharmaceutical company Kusum Healthcare Sanjeev Gupta.
Kusum Healthcare was founded in 1997. Its headquarters is in New Delhi. It specializes in the production of a wide range of drugs for the treatment of gynecological, orthopedic, dermatological, rheumatological, neurological, gastroenterological, urological and other diseases.
The company has three manufacturing enterprises in India and one in Ukraine. Their products are sold in the CIS countries, including Uzbekistan, ASEAN and Africa. One of the key elements of the company’s strategy is that almost all of its representative offices and production enterprises abroad employ local staff.
An Indian company is connected with our country by many years of cooperation. In 2005, she opened her representative office in our country, which today employs more than 120 people.
Gupta emphasized that, based on a number of factors such as the favorable investment climate created in Uzbekistan, qualified personnel, good raw materials and infrastructure opportunities, he intends to expand its presence in the republic. He expressed interest in implementing a project for the production of popular antibiotics, antifungal, antirheumatic and painkillers in the territory of the created pharmaceutical cluster “Tashkent Pharma Park” in Zangiata district of Tashkent region. According to him, as a result of the launch of production, about 100 new jobs will be created.
To discuss issues related to the implementation of the project, the parties agreed to organize additional negotiations with the participation of the leadership of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
