Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Law “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

In accordance with the Law, a number of laws and codes are amended in connection with the improvement of the procedure for conducting cases in courts. In particular, a separate article is introduced in the Law on Courts regarding the distribution of cases between judges.

According to this, cases are distributed in the courts taking into account the workload and specialization of judges in a manner that excludes the effect on the distribution of cases between judges of persons interested in the outcome of the trial, using an automated information system.

Also, the Economic Procedural Code is supplemented by a norm providing that copies of a statement of claim and documents attached to it can be sent to the defendant and third parties in electronic form through an information system.

The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
