Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Our country, which has boldly integrated into the world community, is striving to follow the path of progressive development in all spheres of life, and to achieve these lofty goals, we need comprehensively developed personnel.
A number of decrees and decisions adopted by the head of our state, and a lot of work done in various fields in recent years, have created a solid foundation for this.
“We have set ourselves the priority task of taking our country to a new level of development, and for this we need a new generation of personnel. In order to educate such personnel, we plan to organize one new type of school in each region of our country - Presidential schools,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev, speaking in the city of Nukus.
Based on the current situation related to the pandemic, for a number of reasons, such as: protecting the health of the young generation during the quarantine period, the inadmissibility of students staying in buildings with a large number of people for a long time in conditions when the pandemic has not yet been completely eliminated, the inadmissibility of parents during exams, as well as the uncertainty associated with the date of organizing a visit to our country during the quarantine of a foreign partner - representatives of Cambridge Assessment, student enrollment in the Presidential Schools for the current school year will be organized as an exception in the next school year.
Student enrollment in Presidential schools scheduled for opening in the cities of Bukhara, Jizzakh, Karshi, Samarkand and Fergana (fifth through tenth grades), as well as in creative schools named after Ruzi Choriev in Surkhandarya region and Mukhtor Ashrafi in Bukhara region (from seventh grade) will be held next year.
In the operating Presidential schools in the cities of Tashkent, Nukus, Namangan and Khiva, entrance examinations to the 5th grade for the 2020/2021 academic year were transferred to 2021, and in the 2021/2022 academic year, students will be accepted in the 5th and 6th grades .
By a government resolution, starting from the 2020/2021 academic year, students are enrolled in creative schools from the 7th grade. Given the current contingent of classes of existing creative schools, the opening of new classes in the 2020/2021 academic year is not provided.
Information regarding admission to the Agency’s specialized schools for the 2020/2021 academic year, namely to the specialized schools named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi, Mirzo Ulugbek and Abu Ali ibn Sino, will be announced shortly after consideration and resolution of organizational issues.
We hope that the decision to conduct entrance examinations to schools at the Agency, made today due to the current situation, should not weaken the enthusiasm of children, but rather be seen as an additional opportunity for more thorough preparation for entrance examinations to schools next year.
If changes are made to the procedures and periods for qualifying exams at schools in the Agency’s structure, additional information will be provided on the Agency’s official channels and in the media.
