Improvement of teaching English discussed in Tashkent
The event, which will last till 15 March, is organized by British Council at assistance of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.
The event is aimed at discussing issues related to introduction of English language into primary schools, familiarizing with effective methods of teaching and studying language in primary schools, continuing work over English language books for primary schools under guidance of British consultant.
One of leading British specialists on teaching English language and knowledge assessment in primary schools Wendy Arnold was invited to the event and seminars, which will be organized in future.
Representatives of Ministry of Public Education, developers of English language books for primary schools, State Testing Center, English language teachers and others are participating in the event.
The participants will consider issues of teaching English language in primary schools, methods of knowledge assessment. One of the key tasks of the event will be development of materials and books on English language for primary schools.
