Implementation of investment projects with the participation of foreign partners in Namangan region was discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 August 2019, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov held a meeting in the khokimiyat of Namangan region on the implementation of investment projects in this region with the participation of foreign partners.

The event was attended by the heads of Namangan region khokimiyat, senior officials of the regional departments of the involved ministries and departments, as well as the heads of the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Great Britain, Egypt, India, Iran, Italy, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Turkey and France, assigned to the region.

The meeting participants monitored the implementation of investment projects, worked out with the assistance of diplomatic missions and presented earlier during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Namangan region (on 28 February - 1 March 2019), as well as the agreements reached following the Doing Business with Namangan International Investment Forum (on 7-8 June 2019), comprehensively studied promising areas for attracting investment in various industries of the region.

The results of the work of the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan were critically examined, the reports of their leaders on the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to them for the implementation of investment projects were heard, the problematic issues and ways to solve them were analyzed in detail.

The ambassadors also reported on the work done and new projects worked out during their stay in Namangan region on 5-8 August.

Following the meeting, overseas agencies were instructed to intensify work on the implementation of previously developed investment projects and timely fulfillment of instructions from the country’s leadership, as well as attracting new foreign investors.
