Implementation of investment projects in Samarkand should be accelerated

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 June, a working group of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade under the leadership of Minister Sardor Umurzakov held a working meeting with the leadership and representatives of the khokimiyat, regional departments of ministries, departments and commercial banks in the Samarkand regional khokimiyat.

The meeting was devoted to the development of road infrastructure, water supply, construction of tourism infrastructure and other facilities in the city of Samarkand. Particular emphasis was placed on the preparatory activities in preparation for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2022 in the city of Samarkand.

The agenda also included the need to accelerate the implementation of priority investment projects, including the facilities of the Samarkand City complex.

Following the meeting, a draft roadmap was developed on topical issues requiring urgent solutions, and responsible managers and implementers were appointed.
