ILO Director-General to visit Uzbekistan in December
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Guy Ryder will pay a visit to Uzbekistan in December 2018, the press service of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan said.
The meeting of the Uzbek delegation with the ILO chief was held in Geneva within the 107th International Labour Conference.
Guy Ryder underlined effective and fruitful reforms, conducted under guidance of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Special attention was paid to eliminating children and forced labour. The ILO expressed necessity to cooperation between the ILO and Uzbekistan in promoting decent, full and productive employment of population.
The delegation of Uzbekistan included Deputy Prime Minister Tanzila Narbaeva, Minister of Employment and Labour Relations Sherzod Kudbiev, Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov and Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Federation of Trust Unions B. Mahmadaliev.
