Illegal Use of HUGGIES Trademark Detected in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for Competition Development has taken action regarding the illegal use of the HUGGIES trademark, owned by Kimberly-Clark, the agency’s press service reports.

The Tashkent Regional Department of the Committee received a complaint from Kimberly-Clark LLC, stating that the company Ahangaron Hygienic Pro was unlawfully using their registered trademark.

An investigation confirmed that Ahangaron Hygienic Pro had indeed used the HUGGIES brand, causing damage to the trademark owner’s business reputation.

Following the inspection, a case was opened against the company, a financial penalty was imposed, and directives were issued to prevent such violations in the future.
