Illegal Sale of Potent Medicines Prevented in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an operational action by officers of the Konimekh District Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office, an illegal sale of potent medicinal substances was intercepted.

A citizen, F.D., was detained for selling 1,200 units of five types of foreign-made medicines containing potent substances to a citizen, Sh.Kh., for a total of 6.9 million soums.

During investigative procedures, 16 boxes containing 480 units of potent medicinal products were seized from his residence in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent as material evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (illegal manufacture, distribution, advertising, demonstration, or circulation of potent substances not classified as narcotics, their analogues, or psychotropic substances).

Investigative actions are ongoing.
