Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first medalists have been determined at the Asian Wrestling Championship held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team secured three medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Ikhtiyor Botirov claimed the gold medal in the weight category up to 55 kg. Rafael Tsitsuashvili became a silver medalist in the 130 kg category, while Doniyorhon Nakibov earned a bronze medal in the 77 kg weight class.

Furthermore, Alisher Ganiev (up to 60 kg) has advanced to the tournament final. Tomorrow, Abdumalik Aminov (up to 67 kg) and Shakhzod Kuchkorov (up to 72 kg) will compete for bronze medals.

The results of the opening days of the competition demonstrate the high level of competitiveness of the Uzbek national team on the continental stage.
