Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A greenhouse for growing vegetables and fruits is being created in Buki region on an area of 5 hectares based on the experience of Dutch farmers.
The total cost of the project is equal to US$5.6 million and its distinctive feature will be that the new hydroponics technology will be applied here.
This method is considered modern, and products grown using hydroponic technology are recognized as environmentally friendly.
Technologists and agronomists from the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Holland) took part in the construction and installation of the greenhouse. The design capacity of the greenhouse is 500 tons of products per year.
Permanent work will be provided for more than 40 people.
It should be noted that construction work at this facility was launched in March this year. The start of the greenhouse is scheduled for August.
