Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekistan handed over 500,000 medical masks to Hungary.

“It’s great that even in these difficult times there are friendly nations that we can rely on,” said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto. This was reported on the website of the Hungarian government.

Szijjarto also noted that Hungary increased the number of scholarship places for students from Uzbekistan to study at the country’s universities from 30 to 100.

Previously, Uzbekistan provided humanitarian assistance to China, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Belarus.
