Hundreds of Social Media Pages and Channels Declared Extremist and Banned in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan has published an updated list of online resources deemed extremist and prohibited from distribution within the country.
Under current legislation, materials from these resources are not permitted for import, production, distribution, or public display.
Monitoring and identification of radical content on the internet is carried out by the Committee on Religious Affairs in coordination with the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other relevant authorities.
The list includes hundreds of pages and accounts on Facebook, Telegram channels, Instagram profiles, YouTube channels, Odnoklassniki pages, TikTok, as well as websites, mobile applications, and other information sources.
