Humanitarian train heads to Karakalpakstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Humanitarian train “Salomatlik” (Health), organized by international charity fund “Soglom Avlod Uchun” (For Health Generation) will leave for Karakalpakstan on 24 September 2014.

Soglom Avlod Uchun said that the humanitarian train for citizens of remote area of Karakalpakstan was organized in cooperation with Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock railway company.

From 24 September to 30 September the train will head on route Tashkent-Misken-Turtkul-Tashkent.

The campaign is aimed at supporting population, who needs social support, and rendering them medical and humanitarian assistance.

The group of doctor will carry out medical examination of population, first of all women and children. Special attention will be paid to children with disabilities, families with many children and others.

Local population will receive humanitarian aid worth 34.7 million and US$465,250.

AmeriCares (USA), TOMS SHOES (USA), Resource and Policy Exchange (USA), Friedensdorf International (Germany), Dori Darmon, Baxtteks-Farm, Diyor biznes and others sponsored the humanitarian aid.
