Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, humanitarian aid was sent to Tajikistan to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in neighboring state, Dunyo reports.

The friendly help sent to the neighbor, the brotherly Tajik people, consists of medical products, primarily necessary to eliminate an invisible disaster, and food products.

“Together we will quickly overcome this challenge that all of humanity has faced today,” said Z. Abramatov, deputy head of the emergency situations department of Surkhandarya region. “Uzbekistan understands this well and treats this issue with special attention.

A train with humanitarian aid went from Surkhandarya region to the city of Dushanbe. The list of cargo included protective overalls and glasses, liquid sodium hypochloride, respirators, gloves, pyrometers, flour products.

Earlier, Uzbekistan provided humanitarian assistance to China, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
