Humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan transferred to Kyrgyzstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Humanitarian assistance to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan, sent at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was delivered by rail to the city of Osh.

In total, 17 wagons of humanitarian cargo arrived from Uzbekistan. In particular, 1 thousand tons of flour, 7 thousand protective masks, 7 thousand respirators, 20 thousand gloves, 500 protective glasses, 200 pyrometers were transferred to the Kyrgyz side.

The humanitarian aid transfer ceremony took place at the Osh railway station, in which the plenipotentiary representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region, Uzarbek Jylkybaev, the deputy minister of emergency situations of the country, Ravshan Rysbaev, other officials, and the media attended the Kyrgyz side.

During the event, U. Jylkibaev noted that the Kyrgyz side appreciates this support of the leadership of Uzbekistan. On behalf of the leadership of Kyrgyzstan, he expressed deep gratitude for the assistance provided by the fraternal Uzbek people, which meets the spirit of the current level of confidential relations between the heads of the two states, as well as mutually beneficial and harmoniously developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

According to sources, by order of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, equipment and the base of this department were prepared to carry out work on the reception and delivery of humanitarian cargo in all regions of the country.
