Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 4 June 2020 No. 355 approved measures for the wide involvement of business entities in the construction of apartment buildings in rural areas, Norma.uz reports.

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. 5886 of November 28, 2019, “On Additional Measures to Improve Mortgage Lending Mechanisms”, the Regulation on the procedure for identifying business entities engaged in the construction of apartment buildings in rural areas based on competitive biddings was approved.

Starting from 1 July 2020:

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the khokims of the regions allot land plots that are not intended for irrigated agriculture and forest fund, as well as provided there is no risk of involuntary resettlement of the population;

representatives of regional offices of the Uzhydromet center are included in the composition of district (oblast) commissions under the khokimiyats to consider issues related to the sale of land plots;

with contractors who have won tenders to determine the company for the construction of multi-family residential buildings in rural areas, agreements are concluded with the adoption by business entities of investment obligations;

construction of supply and internal networks of water supply, sewage and roads is carried out according to the results of the examination of the territorial divisions of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection.

The organization and holding of competitive tenders by definition of a company for the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings in rural areas is assigned to consulting centers at the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Construction.
