Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The second day of the VII Hotel Business Forum 2026, one of the key events in Uzbekistan’s tourism and hospitality sector, concluded on 14 February.

The forum was held at the Hilton Tashkent City hotel and organized by the Uzbekistan Hoteliers Association with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Participants included representatives of international hotel brands, investors, industry experts, restaurateurs, as well as heads and lecturers from specialized educational institutions.

During discussions, attendees shared practical experience in implementing innovative solutions and modern management approaches within the hospitality industry. Special attention was given to improving professional education and training the next generation of specialists capable of driving sustainable development in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector.

Experts highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and the development of soft skills within educational programs, emphasizing that the synergy of technological innovation and customer-centric approaches is becoming a defining factor in high-quality service.

International participants noted Uzbekistan’s significant tourism potential and expressed readiness to expand cooperation aimed at integrating global educational standards and best practices into the national workforce training system.

The forum also featured the signing of memoranda of cooperation between the Uzbekistan Hoteliers Association and several partners, including Chusty Group, Tashkent International University “Kimyo,” the Professional Education Agency, Bustanlyk and Zaamin Tourism and Cultural Heritage Colleges, and the Uzbek–Malaysian–Indonesian Tourism Association (UMITA).

The agreements provide for the development of professional training and retraining programs, the implementation of joint educational initiatives, and the strengthening of international partnerships in the tourism sector.

The event underscored the industry’s commitment to systematic modernization and the establishment of a competitive model for tourism development in Uzbekistan.
