The press service said that Hotamjon Ketmonov has been elected as chairperson of Central Council of People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan at the Eighth plenum of the Central Council of the party.
At this post, Ketmonov replaced Latif Gulyamov, who was head of the part from 2005. Gulyamov was released from his post on his own desire.
Prior to appointment Hotamjon Ketmonov worked as deputy governor of Andijan region.
People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was founded on 1 November 1991. It is the largest party in Uzbekistan on number of members.
