Honeywell expands technology center in Uzbekistan to support industry localization and digitalization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Honeywell today officially opened its updated training center in Uzbekistan, through which regional customers will have access to industrial technologies and training on world-class equipment for process automation.
Honeywell’s Experion® Orion Technology Center was the first training center in Central Asia to feature the Experion® Orion Honeywell console for connected industrial complexes;
The 112 Oltin Yo’l GTL employees will be the first customers to receive training at the new center.
The existing Honeywell training center in the company’s office in Tashkent has been enhanced to demonstrate the Honeywell Experion® Orion console. Such a system was first introduced for educational purposes in Central Asia. Shane Tejarati, President of Honeywell for the regions with high growth rates, Frans van Dörsen, President of Honeywell in Turkey and Central Asia, as well as managers and high-ranking representatives of Honeywell customers and partners took part in the opening ceremony of the updated center.
Developed for integrated refineries and refineries, the Experion® Orion console provides advanced information display technology that allows you to create future dispatch centers today. It provides modern, increasingly mobile and connected station operators with a single view of the processes and operations in the enterprise, simplifying the operation of the control system, reducing operator fatigue and improving situational awareness of operations at all facilities of the enterprise.
“Honeywell has been working in Uzbekistan in the field of automation, petrochemistry, safety, performance and energy efficiency for over 20 years. The updated technology center is another step in our support for localization and digitalization in the country, said van Dörsen. “With the help of an extensive training program in Uzbekistan, we can help our customers to take into account local peculiarities, develop and meet the growing requirements for operating equipment faster and more efficiently than ever.”
The first users of the updated center will be 112 employees of the company Oltin Yo’l GTL. Operators will be able to explore new system capabilities to maintain manufacturing compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as learn how to work with Honeywell systems to minimize production downtime.
“Local access to such advanced technologies as the Honeywell Experion Orion console is invaluable for our engineers,” said Fakhritdin Abdurasulov, CEO of Oltin Yol GTL. “Our business is based on the highest standards of performance, safety and reliability. After training on one of the most advanced systems in the world, they will be able to identify new improvements in the process and system capabilities that can then be deployed in a real environment without the need for on-site training and testing. This leads to even more efficient, high-quality operations for us and our customers. ”
Experion Orion Technology Center’s training center also covers other technologies that will help customers increase their profitability and efficiency. Among them: Honeywell’s Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS), which connects people to various data on technological processes and assets, as well as business information throughout the enterprise using a single automation system for safer, more reliable and efficient work.
On the opening day of the updated training center, the company also held a Honeywell Technology Day conference in Tashkent. About 100 partners and customers got acquainted with modern Honeywell technologies for petrochemical and oil refining enterprises, airports, for industrial automation and safety, for monitoring and managing life support systems and building safety, fire alarm systems, as well as solutions for data collection and increasing workers’ efficiency processes.
