Home-Based Teachers to Receive Travel Compensation
Home-Based Teachers to Receive Travel Compensation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By Government Resolution No. 740 dated 24 November 2025, amendments were made to several Cabinet of Ministers’ resolutions concerning compensation for teachers and staff of state educational institutions.
Under the new rules, school teachers providing individual home-based instruction—including cases where two or more children of the same age live at the same address—will receive a monthly travel compensation equal to one base estimated value (BEV).
Compensation is provided if the distance from the school to the student’s residence is at least 1.5 kilometers. If multiple teachers are assigned to the same student, the compensation is distributed proportionally to the number of teaching hours each teacher provides in the month.
Additionally, during temporary absences of caregivers and nurses at state preschools, their duties may be performed by part-time staff under internal orders. Such staff will receive 100% of the salary for equivalent positions, while other categories of employees receive 50%. The total workload for part-time staff must not exceed 1.5 full-time positions.
These measures aim to ensure an equitable distribution of teaching resources and support educators providing home-based instruction.
